Instrumental Music

Instrumental Music

Program Description

This program is designed to prepare students for the competitive and demanding process required for acceptance into the rigorous collegiate and conservatoire music programs.  At the same time, it is flexible enough to accommodate any student who displays aptitude in the study and pursuit of a musical instrument who also possesses interests in other academic and/or athletic endeavors.  Students will receive instruction in Music Theory, Music History, Performance and Practice pedagogical techniques, large and small ensemble groups of multiple genres, and receive individualized private instruction on their primary instrument.  In addition, students will be provided with many opportunities to do collaborative work with their fellow, non-instrumental Arts Academy students in cross-disciplinary projects and performances.

An audition will be required for final selection. Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an audition which will be held on January 25, 2025.
